All concerts are at Community Lutheran Church, 21014 Whitfield Place, Sterling, VA 20165, starting at 7 PM. We don’t sell tickets, but accept donations. Free seating.

AUGUST 29 – LCPS Guitar Teachers Fundraiser
Some of the most talented and most accomplished guitarists who teach at Loudoun County Public Schools will join to provide a variety of solos, duos, and more to benefit Aguado Guitar Concerts.
OCTOBER 10 – Stephen Mattingly
Mattingly has been recently appointed the new Professor of Guitar at the prestigious Florida State University. Following his solo premiere at Carnegie Hall in 2010, the New York Times noted Stephen’s “unfazed” performance in a challenging program of 20th and 21st century works with the Grawemeyer Players. As a recipient of the prestigious Theodore Presser Award, he recorded the complete guitar chamber works by Franz Schubert.
JANUARY 30 – Celil Refik Kaya
Celil Refik Kaya is one of two three-time prizewinners of the Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition, the youngest First Prize Winner of the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition, and is a recording artist with Naxos Record label. Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra conductor JoAnn Falletta commends Mr. Kaya as “a superb musician in every sense”. American Record Guide has called his performances “just perfect”, and numerous critiques from around the world applaud Mr. Kaya’s playing as being “seemingly effortless”.
MAY 1 – Berta Rojas
Renowned for her flawless technique and innate musicality, Berta Rojas ranks among today’s foremost classical guitarists. She has been praised as “guitarist extraordinaire” by the Washington Post and by Classical Guitar Magazine as “Ambassador of the classical guitar.” She has been nominated three times for a Latin Grammy Award. Rojas has been honored as a Fellow of the Americas by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for her artistic excellence. In a 2014 publication, the news agency EFE deems her one of the most influential women in the Hispanic world.
